if your skin itches due to either insect bites or contact with poison ivy, oak, etc and you do not have access to get to the drug store, here are some tips to help releive the itching.
First try applying an ice compress. The ice numbs the itching and may provide relief.
If that doesn’t work, crank it up a notch and apply rubbing alcohol. This method really works for minor poison ivy or poison oak.
If ice or rubbing alcohol doesn’t work, you will have to really crank it up a notch and go to your nearest drugstore for some anti itching cream.
